Create a small museum of functions using patterns you notice in daily life. Choose at least four situations, such as the cost of bus tickets, the distance traveled at a steady speed, the number of tiles in a growing pattern, or the area of squares with different side lengths. For each situation, collect several input output pairs and write the rule in words and symbols. Arrange the data in a clear table, add a simple graph if helpful, and write a short explanation of what the input and output represent. Include one example where the pattern is not linear and explain how you recognized it. Test each rule with a new value and show the check. Display your work on a poster or digital page with labels and captions. Invite viewers to guess a missing output. Reflect on which representation made the pattern easiest to understand and why.
